Law Dogs
Justice out here in the Weird West ain't what you'd call a regular thing, but the law...well that's another story. Sheriff J.P. Coleman and his boys are here to see that nobody in Gomorra makes a ruckus, and they got the muscle to back it up. Most folks round here think they're the only thing standing in the way of total anarchy. We still got us a rowdy town, but there's a whole bunch of polecats lyin' in the boneyard who are sorry they ended up on the wrong side of the law.

BlackJacks
There ain't no rights and wrongs out here, just a lot of gray. Black Jack's gang falls into that gray - not rightly bad, but sure as hell not toein' the line that "decent folk" do. Jack's gunnin' for Sweetrock Mining, and he takes a chunk outta their hide when he can. Most o' the others ride with him 'cause they like raisin' Cain, and they got a list o' sins a mile wide - robbery, arson, claim jumpin', you name it. And they're good enough so's not to get caught. At least not yet...

Collegium
Where there's ghost rock, there's The Distinguished Collegium of Interspacial Physics: a passel o' professors, inventors, and just plain kooks, all buildin' the next bedevilled contraption. They claim to be workin' in the name of progress, but their consarned inventions are the scariest things this side of the Reckoners. They mostly keep to themselves, mumbling in their labs, but don't get 'em steamed, or there'll be no tellin' you from a little grease stain on the ground.

Sweetrock
If Gomorra belongs to anybody, it's Sweetrock. They done come in right
before the mother lode hit, and before you know it, they got their claws in everything. Most of the big claims're theirs, and plenty of the town's businesses, too. They can buy just about anything - even you. Pockets full o' money ain't enough, they're diggin' up ghost rock like gophers. Aim to keep it, too. They don't got the big guns 'round here, but the way they'll get ya, they don't need 'em.

Whateleys
Hallowed blue bloods from back east...an ancient family looking fer a new start...a buncha freaks and lunatics if ya ask me. The Whateley family showed up in the dead o' night and promptly started scarin' the pants outta the whole town. They got huckster powers like you've never seen. I've seen them do things with a simple deck o' cards that'd freeze yer blood. They got somethin' planned fer Gomorra, and you can bet yer spurs it ain't good.

Sioux
They come from a dozen different Indian tribes, scattered all across the Weird West. They follow a vision of doom and redemption, prophesied by one man. Joseph Eyes-Like-Rain has seen the future of Gomorra...and he's come here to stop it. He's been joined by braves and shamans from the Pawnee to the Navajo. There somethin' hidin' in Doomtown's shadows, but Joseph and his crew know its there - and they aren't afraid of it.

Maze Rats
It was only a matter of time before one of the big boys took notice of our little burg. The Warlord Kang sent a bunch of his boys down here with orders to take control by hook or by crook. They call themselves the Maze Rats and anybody travellin' on the water had best beware of 'em. They're ornery enough to send you to the bottom on general principles. It won't be long before they cut Gomorra off from every ghost rock mine in the Maze.

Texas Rangers
The Union and the Confederacy're still out there, fightin' a war that neither side can win. They both got "special divisions" that hunt down all the supernatural nasties roamin' the Weird West. The Rangers are the Southern half of the equation, a hard-bit group o' gunfighters and ghost-breakers protectin' the world against all things dark and dangerous. It's no surprise that they would come to Gomorra eventually; with the things we got runnin' around here, we sure as hell need 'em. This town may be goin' to hell in a bucket, but the Rangers are here to make sure we take a few demons with us.
