This deck in particular has a cool story... facing Gerry Crowe the year he came over the the states. It was a side tournament - I think the day before the main event. Gerry is playing original Rats to my Landed Rats. I loose the pull on three of my starters (gerry lost the pull on one - that we were starting four of the same dudes might be telling).
Anyway - With my extra budget I was able to drop several first turn dudes. Gerry did similar - I think at the end of the second (maybe third) turn we were matching influence at nightfall and I think it was like 12 to 13 (memory is a bit foggy after a few years). At the same time I hear from my right side two players counting Influence "My Six to your Five" - so I say to Gerry, "Hey, I think we can take them."

Starting Characters tend to vary depending on my mood, but Typically...

Maze Rats - Landed Rats
19 Starting Ghost Rock / +4 Production

9S Freddy Fast-Hands (exp)
3S Min Su Tao
3S Chao Li
3S Timmy Derrick (exp)
2S Cassidy Greene
~16 GR Spent - Starting 3~

AS Bladed Fist
AS Charlie Landers (exp)
2S Humphrey Walters
2S Santana Tate
3S Harold Longfellow
4S Maurice Foster
4S Shigetoshi Hohiro
6S Yung Kim
8S Denton Filmore (substitue Strater vs. Sweetrock)
8S Sin Je
8S Chin Wei-Lun
9S The Swarm (the only no influence character in the deck)
10S Master Chan
10S Werner Braun

AD Bleeding Vein
AD Gomorra Gazette
2D Confederate Barracks
2D Sea of Sorrows Mine
3D Spiritual Society Enclave
3D Mental Hospital
4D One Eye Ike's Weapons Locker
4D Watering Hole
5D Tent City (Chinese Workers)
10D The Barber's Shop
10D Hunter's Moon Strike

AC Only Winged 'em
2C Rats in Gomorra
2C Start Again
3C Hired Guns
4C Ace in the Hole x2
5C Degeneration
5C Double Dealin'
6C Foreclosure
6C Pistol Whip
7C Extortion x2 (So clutch in Landed Rats it almost isn't Funny)
8C Jackelope Stamped
9C Divided Loyalties
10C Hostile Takeover

AH Christmas Day x3
3H Coleman is Killed!
4H Stoker's Sabre
10H Warwick's Gavel
10H Coleman's Badge

Death's Head Joker x2

Values are a little spread out, but the deck tries to avoid Shootouts. With Landed Rats ability many opponents will limit their deed placement in order to keep you away from victory, which should suit you well, as the deck plays out it gets into pulling straight flush (clubs) hands, and has a fair number of Control points (13). What makes the deck ridiculous is the maximum influence of 31 with only 4 upkeep. Many times I have taken full advantage of Christmas to pile onto a Deed and hit the other guy with an 8 GR Extortion or worse.
The Anti Wanted tech (Coleman is Killed, his badge, and Warwick's Gavel) are to help against Lynch Mob decks, since I have run my fair share of them I notice that my bullet count is a little on the shy side.

They were good days... Very Happy I also remember this game, and you won it by a whisker IIRC.

I actually came over three years running, but the funds then dried up so haven't been over for a few years now...maybe next year!

This one wins GenCOn Indy 2011

I do need to figure out where I can fit in Captain Sim Yat Sum exp, his influence hammer would be a welcome addition.
